Guided wine cellar tours are available for individuals and small groups by appointment and when the work processes allow it. For those who prefer to walk around the farm, its vineyards, Fijnbos fields and eucalyptus and milk-wood forests, or to demonstrate their stamina and skill on a mountain bike, there are a number of marked cross-country hiking and cycling paths.
Springfontein is the ideal starting point for everything Walker Bay has to offer. The nearby, almost bordering ocean invites you to take long beach walks on fine white sand between untouched dunes and the wild sea, or to go for a boisterous or rather leisurely horse riding trip with African Horse Company. And the two poles bordering Walker Bay, Hermanus and Gansbaai, are each world-famous seasonally dependent for whale watching of the Southern Right species that calve in the bay during the South African winter, and seasonally independent for shark cage diving after the Great White. And last but not least, penguin and seal colonies are within easy reach. We are happy to put together a whole programme for our guests for the duration of their stay.
