Grapes were selected and harvested by hand to ensure optimum quality. After de-stemming grapes were cold-macerated for 6 days in small 100% new Americano oak barriques. The wine fermented with Natural yeast for 12 days with frequent light punch downs to extract colour, flavour and tannins. Vinification in small barriques produces delicate varietal aromas with intense structure. Malolactic fermentation was completed in barrel before maturation for 28 months.
Long maceration on the skins and fermentation with Natural yeast enhances terroir specific notes in this Pinotage. Rich, dense dark fruits,with some spice and earthy leathery notes. The palate is rich and rounded with sweet fruit.
